So anyone who knows me knows I have an addictive personality. Things that I like I usually REALLY like. For example Renaissance Faire, Dancing, Labyrinth, The Darkangel, Star Trek...etc.
Recently I have found the joys of Star Trek fanfiction (yes geek I am), particularly this author NerdieLady of Fanfiction.Net [link] Check it out. Also I've been watching Tango on Youtube among other dancing things. This video [link] really caught me because of what the man says at 2:00

“The fun of tango is between you and me dancing it. Ten minutes of embrace with someone you never met before, you don’t know anything about; you just give in and after four or five tunes, the music changes and everybody sits down. So what happened between you and that person in those four or five tunes was magic and then its over.”

It such a beautiful statement about the dance and dancing in general, perhaps Tango in particular because its such a passionate and up close and personal dance. I suggest everyone watch the video to hear it in the man's voice because it just perfect. He's not boasting or trying to make a profound statement but simply being interviewed about the dance and that comes out. (Or at least that's how it sounds to me.)

In art, I'm currently still working on the Evil Little Mermaid piece and have the pencil and ink work done. We'll see how the rest goes.
